(Sheridan) – The Sheridan College Generals moved to 8-2 on
the season after picking up a pair of wins over the Weekend at the 38th
annual Lions Club Tournament.
In an all-out, dominating effort, the Generals defeated the
University of Great Falls 117-37. All 12 members of the Generals scored in the
contest, 7 of which in double figures.
Sophomore center Isaac Oeltjen (Red Wing, MN) notched his first
double-double of the season scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds while
blocking 4 shots in the contest. The
Generals shot 57% from the field and 54% from three-point range while holding
the Argos to 23% shooting from the field.
The Generals also dominated the glass, out-rebounding their opponent
53-17.
The Generals next faced a match-up with Region XVIII
opponent Colorado Northwestern. Another
hot shooting night for the Generals led them past the Spartans. The Generals shot 52% from the field and 48%
from behind the arc, knocking down 10 three-point field goals. Sophomore guard Victor Bermudez scored 17
points in the contest, knocking down 5 three-point shots. The Generals were led in scoring by Ron
Mvouika and Tate Stensgaard who both scored game high 22 points. Stensgaard also pulled down a game high 17
rebounds in 22 minutes of action.
The Generals are back in action this weekend facing Midwest
Elite & Western Nebraska in the Holiday Inn Classic. Game times are 7:30 pm
Friday night and 5:00 pm Saturday afternoon. Games will streamed on www.SCGenerals.com.
