Generals sign German Forward, Jermaine Julien Lippert!

Sheridan Finalizes Recruiting Class with German Forward

Sheridan, WY – Sheridan College head men's basketball coach Steve Smiley announced today the signing of Walter-Klingenbeck-Realschule forward Jermaine Julien Lippert to a national letter of intent.

Lippert, a 6-8, 230 pound forward from Munich, Germany will have an immediate impact on the Sheridan College program. In 2008-09 Jermaine played for Fc Bayern Muenchen where he averaged 23 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game in leading them to a quarterfinals appearance in their post-season play. Last year Jermaine played with MTSV Schwabing where he continued to put up great numbers averaging 31 points, 11 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per game. His points per game along with rebounds per game where ranked first on the team in those categories. Upon completion of his time at Sheridan College, Jermaine will continue to play collegiately in the United States, as he is already verbally committed to NCAA Division 1, Montana State University in Bozeman, MT.

“Jermaine is a very talented and explosive player and he is very unique in that he has a great skill set for a player of his size. Jermaine could play anywhere from a small forward to a post player-type of position, but he’s naturally a small forward that can play both on the perimeter and in the post, and he will have the ability to be a huge asset on the defensive end of the floor because of his size, quickness, and overall athleticism. Jermaine should have an instant impact on our program and we’re excited for him to arrive so we can begin to work with him”

Generals sign German guard Johannes Kriegereit!

Sheridan Inks German Guard

Sheridan, WY – Sheridan College head men's basketball coach Steve Smiley announced today the signing of German point guard Johannes Kriegereit to a national letter of intent.

Kriegereit, a 6-2, 175 pound point guard from Bayern, Germany played club ball with Erding Baskets/MTSV Schwabing averaging 19.4 points per game. Johannes has been selected one of the top 40 players in Germany with a year of birth in 1990. He has also won two Bavarian League Championships throughout his career. After attending Sheridan College, Johannes will continue to play in America, as he is already verbally committed to play at NCAA Division 1, Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana.

Coach Smiley had this to say about Johannes: “We’re really excited to get a player of Johannes’ ability. He’s a very talented player that is a traditional point guard, but can also play a shooting guard because of his size, athleticism, and ability to score. Johannes is also a very mature player and has a great feel for the game, so we’re thrilled that he’s going to be a General for the coming year! He should have an immediate impact on our program.”
