Generals Roll Past Rams 95-67



(Sheridan) – The Sheridan College Generals move to 20-4, 9-1 in Region IX North play with a 95-67 victory of the Little Big Horn Ram on Wednesday night.  The Generals saw 9 players score on the evening, 6 of which scored in double-figures.  Ron Mvouika finished the game with 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists on the evening.  Freshman guard Iakeem Alston finished with 14 points and 5 rebounds.  Victor Bermudez chipped in 11 points and dished out 6 assists while nailing 2 3-point baskets.  Freshman Taylor Millay scored 11 points off the bench and grabbed 6 rebounds.  Tate Hilgenkamp and X-keem Jones rounded out the Generals that scored in double-figures, each netting 10 points. 

The Generals dominated the glass, out-rebounding the Rams 52-30, including 17 offensive rebounds.  A smothering team defensive effort, the Generals forced 14 turnovers on the evening and held the Rams to 25% shooting from beyond the arc. 

The Generals return to action this Saturday, February 2nd, in Powell, Wyoming versus the Northwest College Trappers at 5:00 PM.

Generals Pounce Pronghorns, Sweep Season Series




(Gillette) – The Sheridan College Generals improved to 19-4, 8-1 in Region IX play Saturday night by defeating the Gillette College Pronghorns 70-65, sweeping the season series.  A 30-30 halftime lead so disappeared as the Generals shot 55% from beyond the arc in the second half.  The 6 three-point field goals made in the second half included a pair from freshman guard Fred Dure.  Ron Mvouika led the Generals with a game high 24 points, game high 12 rebounds, and game high 4 assists.  Victor Bermudez continued his climb amongst the top three-point shooters in the nation as he connected on 5 of his attempts from downtown, notching 74 made three-pointers on the year. Bermudez finished the game with 22 points and 6 rebounds on the evening. 

The Generals are back in action this Wednesday, January 29th at 7:30 PM as they take on the Little Big Horn Rams at the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome.

Hot Shooting Helps Generals Defeat Thunderbirds



(Sheridan) – Wednesday night saw a packed house at the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome as Sheridan College and Casper College both entered with identical 17-4 , 6-1 in Region IX, records.  Nine first-half 3-point field goals saw the Generals take a 48-36 lead.  The T-Birds cut it to a 2 point game with under seven minutes to go in the contest, but a late surge helped the Generals walk away with the 82-71 victory, moving them to 18-4 on the season, 7-1 in sub-region play. 


The Generals were led by freshman guard Frederic Dure who had a game-high 28 points, including four 3-point baskets, while pulling down 8 rebounds.  Sophomore Victor Bermudez netted 20 points, including five from beyond the arc, while dishing out 6 assists.  Ron Mvouika also scored in double-figures, helping the effort with 13 points and 7 rebounds.  The Generals out-rebounded Casper 43-34 on the night. 


The Generals head to Gillette this Saturday, January 26th, as they take on the Pronghorns at 7:30 CST.

Hot Shooting Pushes Sheridan Past Miles



(Sheridan) – A hot shooting night for the Generals, in which 7 three-point field goals were made in the first half, saw the Generals enter the locker room at the break with a 40-21 lead. Another 6 three-pointers were contributed in the second half as the Generals defeated the Miles Community College Pioneers 81-54. 

The Generals connected on 42% of all shots from beyond the arc, and 45% of the shots taken in the game.  The hot shooting, coupled with a 45-16 rebounding margin, helped the Generals move to 17-4 on the year, 6-1 in Region IX North play.  The Generals were led in scoring by Tate Stensgaard & Victor Bermudez, each netting 14 points on the evening.  Stensgaard also pulled down 8 rebounds, while Bermudez pulled down 5 rebounds and dished out 3 assists. Ron Mvouika put together another statistical performance, scoring 13 points, grabbing 9 rebounds, and dishing out 4 assists.  Frederic Dure was the final General to score in double figures, netting 12 points while dishing out 5 assists. 

The Generals are back in action this Wednesday, January 23rd at 7:30 PM as they take on the Casper College Thunderbirds at the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome.

Generals Plunder Bucaneers, Improve to 16-4


(Glendive, MT) – A cold shooting, turnover plagued first half saw the Generals off to a slow start Wednesday night in Glendive, Montana. The Generals entered halftime against Dawson Community College with a 29-26 lead. However, an offensive surge led by 53.8% shooting from the field pushed the lead to 13 points by the end of the game, giving the Generals their 16th win of the season behind a 68-55 victory.  The Generals now move to 5-1 in Region IX North play.

Sophomore guard Ron Mvouika led the Generals with a game-high 19 points, and game-high 9 rebounds.  Freshman forward Tate Stensgaard chipped in 15 points while going 4-5 from the field and 7-8 from the charity stripe.  Sophomore guard Victor Bermudez also scored in double figures, netting 11 points, including 3 three-point field goals.  The Generals dominated the glass, out-rebounding the Buccaneers 38-22.

The Generals are back in action this Saturday, January 19th as they host the Miles Community College Pioneers at the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome at 5:00 pm.
