Hot Shooting Pushes Sheridan Past Miles



(Sheridan) – A hot shooting night for the Generals, in which 7 three-point field goals were made in the first half, saw the Generals enter the locker room at the break with a 40-21 lead. Another 6 three-pointers were contributed in the second half as the Generals defeated the Miles Community College Pioneers 81-54. 

The Generals connected on 42% of all shots from beyond the arc, and 45% of the shots taken in the game.  The hot shooting, coupled with a 45-16 rebounding margin, helped the Generals move to 17-4 on the year, 6-1 in Region IX North play.  The Generals were led in scoring by Tate Stensgaard & Victor Bermudez, each netting 14 points on the evening.  Stensgaard also pulled down 8 rebounds, while Bermudez pulled down 5 rebounds and dished out 3 assists. Ron Mvouika put together another statistical performance, scoring 13 points, grabbing 9 rebounds, and dishing out 4 assists.  Frederic Dure was the final General to score in double figures, netting 12 points while dishing out 5 assists. 

The Generals are back in action this Wednesday, January 23rd at 7:30 PM as they take on the Casper College Thunderbirds at the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome.
