(Sheridan) – The Sheridan College Generals opened up their
first home game of the season with a 92-71 victory over the Rocky Mountain
College Battlin’ Bears. The Generals saw
six players reach double-digit scoring in the victory. Sophomore guard Victor
Bermudez (Las Vegas, NV) and freshman forward John Ruffin (Chicago, IL) both
netted 14 points for the Generals.
Ruffin also pulled down 7 rebounds on the night. Sophomore forward Tate Stensgaard (Rapid
City, SD) had 13 points and 8 rebounds.
Freshman guards Frederic Dure (Montreal, Canada) and X-Keem Jones
(Wilson, NC) both netted 12 points in the win.
Freshman guard Tate Hilgenkamp was the last General to reach
double-figures, scoring 11 points on the night, including 3 three-point
baskets.
The Generals shot 56% from the filed on the night and 50%
from beyond the arc, connecting on 8 out of 16 three-point field goals. The
Generals are back in action this Friday, November 9th, in Twin
Falls, Idaho where they take on the #12 ranked Monroe College Mustangs.
