(Twin Falls) - In a back-and-forth finale, a Tate Stensgaard
three-point basket with 8 seconds remaining tied the Generals with 12th
ranked Monroe College at the College of Southern Idaho tournament Friday
night. However, a lay-up by Maurice Ndour with 2.8 seconds gave Monroe
College a two-point lead that the Generals could not answer. The 12th
ranked Mustangs, from New York, handed the Generals their first loss of
the season (3-1).
Freshman forward Tate Stensgaard led the way for the
Generals, scoring 22 points and grabbing 14 rebounds, including 7
offensive rebounds. Sophomore guard Victor Bermudez scored 13 points
for the Generals and grabbed 6 rebounds. While sophomore guard Ron
Mvouika also notched a double-double for the Generals, scoring 10 points
and grabbing 10 rebounds. The Generals are back in action against
Impact Academy on saturday, November 10 at 5:30 pm MST.
