(Sheridan) – Sheridan College scored the first basket of the game Saturday night against the Casper College Thunderbirds, and never trailed during the forty-minute contest. The Generals move to 22-5 on the year, 11-4 in North Region IX play, with an 86-81 defeat over the Thunderbirds.
Wayne Bradford was the high scorer for the Generals, netting 21 points on the night, along with 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. Lamont Prosser & R.J. Leverette both chipped in 14 points on the evening. Robert Heyer alsco scored in double figures, contributing 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. While sophomore forward Khion Sankey was 1 point shy of reaching double figures, his overall stat line for the night showed his importance in multiple areas for the Generals. Sankey scored 9 points, pulled down 9 rebounds, dished out 6 assists, blocked 3 shots, and got 3 steals.
The Generals are now tied for first place in Region IX North with Miles College. The final sub-region game is this Tuesday night, February 28th, in Gillette, Wyoming, as the Generals take on the Pronghorns at 7:30 PM.
