Heyer Pushes Generals Past Golden Eagles

Robert Heyer was one of five Generals that scored in double digits Friday night against Laramie County, but it was the jump shot that he scored with seconds left that helped the Generals defeat the Eagles 78-76. The Eagles erased a 14 point Generals lead in the second half to tie the game at 76 with less than twelve seconds to go as freshman guard Victor Bermudez found Heyer at the top of the key with time winding down and overtime in sight. Heyer took one dribble and knocked down the shot with only .3 seconds left in the game securing a Generals win. Heyer finished the game with a solid effort of 10 points and 5 rebounds, 3 of which came on the offensive glass.

Generals big man Lamont Prosser continued to lead the Generals in scoring as he poured in 23 points, going 9-13 from the foul line, and grabbed 9 rebounds. Freshman guard Ron Mvouika continued to impress by contributing 15 points and 6 rebounds, including a thunderous dunk over Laramie County big man, and Texas Tech commit, Rodrigo Silva. Victor Bermudez and Wayne Bradford both added 10 points in the Generals win.
