Former SC General Cadot Named Paradise Jam All-Tournament Team

ST. THOMAS, U.S.V.I.— Former Sheridan General, and current TCU senior guard J.R. Cadot was one of six players named to the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam All-Tournament Team on Tuesday. Cadot helped lead TCU to a 1-2 record featuring an opening-round victory over Virginia (57-55). The Horned Frogs dropped their final two contests to Norfolk State (66-53) and Ole Miss (80-69).

A native of Nassau, Bahamas, Cadot averaged 11.7 points and a team-high 8.0 rebounds per game during the tournament. He helped clinch the victory over Virginia with the Frogs’ final basket—a three-point play on a layup and ensuing foul shot after he collected an offensive board with under 20 seconds remaining. He finished the contest with 12 points on 4-of-4 shooting while adding five rebounds.

Cadot recorded only TCU’s second double-double of the season, and the fourth of his career, with 18 points and 12 rebounds Monday against Ole Miss. Cadot is currently averaging 11.2 points a game while shooting 61% from the field, he is also pulling down a team leading 8.0 rebounds a game.
