Pac 12 Transfer Joins Generals

Sheridan College head coach Steve Smiley is pleased to announce the addition of Kaileb Rodriguez to the 2013 men’s basketball recruiting class.  Rodriguez, a 6’9 225 pound forward, spent this past season red-shirting at the University of California.  A Denver native, Rodriguez played his high-school career at Thunder Ride High School under Coach Joe Ortiz.  In his senior season the Grizzlies post a 20-6 record, finished as the 5th ranked team in the state of Colorado.  Rodriguez averaged 11 points, 7 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 3 assists per game.  The two-time All 5A player was selected to play in “The Show” Colorado All-Star game his senior year.

"Kaileb is another crucial piece of our recruiting puzzle, and we are really happy that he chose to become a member of the Generals family," exclaimed Coach Smiley. "He comes from one of the top programs in the state of Colorado under Coach Ortiz, and he's been well coached and knows how to win. Kaileb has truly transformed his body, and will have a chance to be a special player in our program before moving back to the D1 level in the near future. Kaileb is another player that has the athleticism, size and strength to play multiple positions in our program if needed, and will give us great flexibility next year."
