College Men’s Basketball adds center Rudolphe Joly to the 2013-2014 Generals
roster. Rudolphe Joly, a 6’10, 260 pound
center from Quebec Canada, played at Alma Academy. While at Alma, Rudolphe averaged 8 points, and
11 rebounds a game while shooting 60% from the field. Alma finished the season with a 48-5 record,
winning the NPSAA & Canada Prep Championship. For his efforts, Rudolphe was selected to
play in the All-Canada Classic this past May in Toronto, in which the top 24
players in the country are invited to compete.
Rudolphe joins RaVonn Posey, 6’8 290pound center from Milwaukee
Riverside, to fill the void left with the departure of Brandon Pines &
Isaac Oeltjen inside.
Coach Smiley had this to say about
Rudolphe: “ We’re really excited about Rudolphe’s potential as a future
General. One of the most common sayings in basketball is ‘you can’t teach size’
and Rudolphe not only has unique size, but also good strength & mobility in
the post. He is a true back-to-the-basket post player and will give us
additional size & strength inside. We believe Rudolphe will have a great
two-year career and will help us to compete in Region 9.”
