Hot Handed Heyer Leads Generals Past Pronghorns

(Sheridan) – After posting his first career double-double against Casper College on Wednesday night, Robert Heyer decided to respond by scoring 27 points as the Sheridan College Generals defeated the Gillette College Pronghorns 81-67. Heyer was not the only General to surpass the 20 point mark on the night, R.J. Leverette chipped in 23 of his own while going 7-7 from downtown and dishing out 5 assists. Wayne Bradford also scored in double digits, adding in 12 while going a perfect 8-8 from the free-throw line.

The Generals came out of the gate Saturday night jumping to an early lead, which they never gave up during the course of the game. Offensively the Generals shot an outstanding 69% from 3-point range, 56% from the field, and 74% from the charity stripe. Defensively the Generals turned up the heat on the Pronghorns, holding them to 35% from the field and 21% from beyond the arc.

The Generals move to 16-4 on the year, 5-3 in Sub-Region play. Generals are back in action this Wednesday night, February 1st, as they take on the Little Big Horn College Rams in Crow Agency, Montana.
