Hot Shooting Helps Generals Improve To 15-2

(Sheridan) – An offensive explosion in the first half of Wednesday night’s game against the Dawson College Buccaneers allowed the Sheridan College Generals to never trail in the contest. A 9-12 three-point shooting clinic in the first half gave the Generals a 45-38 lead at the break.

Freshman guard Victor Bermudez went 5-6 from beyond the arc, finishing the game with 15 points on the night. R.J. Leverette also connected on 3 three-point attempts, also finishing with 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the Generals. Wayne Bradford finished the game with a team high 16 points, going a perfect 8-8 from the charity stripe. Lamont Prosser posted a double-double on the night scoring 14 points, on 7-12 shooting, and pulling down 10 rebounds. Khion Sankey & Ron Mvouika rounded out the double-digit scorers for the Generals by each contributing 11 points in the victory.

A 61% shooting night from beyond the arc, and 54% from the overall field, helped to lead the Generals to their 15th win on the season, and fourth win in Region IX North play. The Generals are back in action this Saturday, January 21st, in Miles City, Montana as they take on Miles College. Tip-off is set for 5:00 pm.
