On Wedensday, November 12th, two men’s basketball players signed to play at the NCAA Division 1 level. Jamir Andrews (Dublin, CA) signed with Bowling Green State University of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). Jamir was highly recruited after a solid freshman year where he averaged 12.3 points per game, while shooting over 40% from three. So far this year, Jamir has averaged 20.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per contest. When asked why Jamir chose Bowling Green, he said, “I chose Bowling Green State University because I know I can thrive and win there.”

PJ Posey (Milwaukee, WI) signed his letter of intent to play at Cal State University – Bakersfield, who participates in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). PJ has been a big part of the Generals success over his time in Sheridan. As a freshman, he led the team in field goal percentage, while shooting 58% from the floor. So far this season, Posey has started all contests, and he is averaging 5.4 points and 3.8 rebounds. PJ was very excited to sign his LOI, and he said, “My whole life went into that piece of paper that I signed on Wednesday.”

“We are very excited for both Jamir and PJ to sign with NCAA Division 1 schools. It is very rewarding to see two young men work hard on and off the court to achieve their dreams. We truly believe they chose schools that will be a great fit for them,” said Sheridan College head coach Matt Hammer.

Go Generals!
