On October 18th, 2014 the entire Sheridan College
Men’s Basketball Team helped Sheridan Recreation with their annual First
Whistle youth camp. The hour long camp is designed to get the community excited
about youth basketball, and it also gives parents a chance to sign their children
up for youth teams.
There was a great turnout for the event, which was held at
the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome. The whole men’s team including players and
coaches put the kids through lots of drills to help develop fundamentals. Each
kid had the opportunity to interact with the players throughout the camp.
Overall, it was a very nice event, and the Generals felt honored to be a part
of a community event.
The men’s basketball team will be holding their own holiday
camp on January 3rd, from 9AM-12PM at the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome.
The cost is $50, and each camper will receive motivational handouts, individual
workout material, a camp basketball, and a signed team poster. To register, please
call assistant coach Tom Parks at 307-674-6446 ext. 4003 or arrive at 8AM on
the day of the camp.
Go Generals!
