Generals Rally Late, Improve To 18-3

The Generals not only had to battle the Miles Community College Pioneers Saturday night in Miles City, Montana, but also had to overcome a devastating injury on their way to pick up their 18th win of the season. Facing a 4 point deficit with less than 3 minutes remaining, sophomore forward Josh Adeyeye scored a lay-up to cut the Pioneer lead to 2, however, Adeyeye suffered a season-ending injury on the play. The Generals would rally around their falling teammate, and a Preston Wells lay-up with 5.6 seconds remaining gave the Generals an 81-80 lead, securing their 18th victory of the season, improving their record to 18-3.

Frederic Dure led the Generals with 19 points, including 2 three-point field goals.  Josh Adeyeye finished with 15 points & 14 rebounds for the Generals.  Jeff Amazan chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds on the evening. Freshman Jamir Andrews also scored in double-figures, contributing 11 points in the victory.  Generals face the Central Wyoming Rustlers this Wednesday, January 22nd at 7:30 pm in the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome.
