An extra five minutes of action was needed Saturday night at
the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome for the Generals to edge the rival Casper College
Thunderbirds, 93-91. With the win, the
Generals move to 2-1 in Region IX play, 14-3 overall. A made free-throw by
freshman Abednego Lufile tied the game with 5 seconds remaining in regulation
to send the contest into overtime.
Sophomore forward Josh Adeyeye led the Generals with 21 points and 6
rebounds. Jamir Andrews had a hot start,
scoring 16 points, including 3 three-point field goals in the first half, Andrews
finished with 18. Frederic Dure finished with 14 points on the evening.
Sophomore Jeff Amazan came off the bench to chip in 12 on the evening,
including a pair of three-point baskets.
The Generals are back in action, Wednesday January 8th
as they travel to Glendive, Montana to take on the Dawson College Buccaneers.
