The Generals kept their recent hot streak intact with a thrilling 79-78 victory in Powell, WY over Northwest College. With the win, the Generals moved to 23-5 on the season (tied for most wins currently in all of Region 9) and 11-3 in North Region 9 with 2 games left in the regular season.
Trailing for the majority of the game, including a 32-41 halftime deficit, the Generals found themselves down by as many as 16 points midway through the second half before a furious rally cut the lead late. Trailing by 1 with 30 seconds to go, NWC made only 1 of 2 FT's to give the Trappers a 2-point cushion before Jamir Andrews hit a game-winning 3 with only seconds remaining.
Jeff Amazan had a huge game for SC with 20 points on 6-9 shooting, and both Jamir Andrews and Fred Dure added 12 points each.
The Generals are off until next Wednesday, when they face Miles City in the Golden Dome in the last regular season home game of the year. Tip-off will be 7:30 PM MST, and all SC Generals Sophomores will be recognized prior to the start of the game.
