The Sheridan College Generals have added more
depth to their back-court with the addition of Illinois standout, Preston
Wells. Wells, a 6’1 guard from Peoria Richwoods High School, averaged 15.7
points, 2.3 assists, and 1.4 steals a game this season while shooting 82% from
the foul line and netting 74 3-point field goals on the season. In his career
at Richwoods, Wells drained 179 3’s, and scored over 1,000 points. For his
on-court performance, Well received All-state IBCA and was twice voted
first-team Mid-State in Illinois.
"Preston is exactly the type of player we
were looking for to hopefully round out our recruiting class. He's a big Point
Guard that has a great feel for the game, defends really well, and can really
shoot the ball and stretch the defense. We've been following Preston's progress
for quite a while and feel like he'll be a great addition to our program. He
should have an immediate impact this fall.”
