Former Generals Named Eurobasket Player of the Week

(Nitra, Slovakia) - Former Sheridan College Generals J.R. Cadot was named the Eurobasket.com Player of the Week after helping his team, Nitra, come close to defeating league opponent Komarno. Cadot lead the way with a game-high 26 points, adding six rebounds and seven assists for Nitra as his team was edged out by Komarno (#2, 3-1) 95-91. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Nitra moved-up to 3rd in the Slovakian Extraliga with a 3-2 record on the season. Nitra currently sits .5 games behind Komarno and 1.5 games behind the league leader. 

In the team's last game Cadot had a remarkable 54.5% 2-point field goal percentage. He has turned to be Nitra's top player in his first season with the team. The Texas Christian University graduate is league's top scorer, averaging 18 ppg. Cadot is also in the league's top rebounders (8th best: 6.2rpg), and assists (7th best: 3.2apg). A key contributor in several other areas, Cadot also averages 1.4bpg, 2.4spg, 61.9% FGP and 43.8% from behind 3-point line.
