Prep Standout Choses Generals

Sheridan College Generals are excited to announce the signing of guard Joe Kiely to a national letter of intent.  Kiely, a 5’11” 165 pound point guard from Oakland Mills High School in Baltimore, Maryland, averaged 10.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 3.5 steals per game.  Kiely led his team to a 25-1 record, garnering 1st Team All-County honors, and leading his team to the quarterfinals of the Maryland State Tournament.  Kiely played his prep career at Winchendon School in Winchendon, Massachusetts.

Coach Smiley commented on Joe’s signing: “Joe is another great addition to our current class of recruits. After signing Iakeem Alston, our next goal was to find a compliment to Iakeem so we could play both guards if necessary, and Joe is a pure point guard that still has the size and athleticism to guard multiple spots. He’s exactly what we were looking for. Joe has a great feel for the game, and knows when to distribute, when to score, and can influence the game in several areas. He had a great high school career, and then played in one of the best prep school leagues in the country this past season for Winchendon. We’re thrilled to have Joe join our family.”
