The Sheridan College Generals trailed going into halftime
for the first time this season as they battled the Laramie County Eagles to a
32-34 score. A poor first half shooting
display from the Generals saw them 21% from beyond the arc and 37% from the field.
A second half surge witnessed those numbers jump to 39% from three and 52%
from the field as the Generals defeated Laramie by a final count of 84-76. Sophomore guard Frederic Dure led the
Generals with 21 points, including a pair of clutch free-throws late in the
game to ice the victory. Forward Josh
Adeyeye recorded his first double-double of the season by scoring 15 points and
pulling down 10 rebounds. Freshman
center Rudolphe Joly added 10 points on the evening and pulled down 7 rebounds,
6 of which were offensive. Jamir Andrews
was the last General to score in double figures, netting 10 points on the
evening.
The Generals will host the Colorado Kings this weekend in
the Best Western Tournament at the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome. Tip will be at
7:00 pm on Friday, November 15th.
