(Sheridan) – All five returning players for the Sheridan
College Generals participated in showcase events this summer across the nation.
Four returning sophomores participated in the Jerry Mullens Junior College
Showcase in St. Louis Missouri on July 14th. Brandon Pines (6’8”, F/C, Columbia, MD), Ron
Mvouika (6’4”, G, Paris, France), Victor Bermudez (6’3”, G, North Las Vegas,
NV), and Isaac Oeltjen (7’1”, C, Red Wing, MN) all received invitations to play
in one of the largest junior college events in the nation. The four Generals showcased their talents in
front of several hundred four-year college coaches.
The closing junior college event of the summer was the
All-American JUCO Showcase located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Representing Sheridan
College at this event was Victor Bermudez and Red-shirt Freshman Tate
Stensgaard (6’7”, F, Rapid City, SD).
All five returning Generals look to build on their success from last
season when the Generals posted a 25-7 record, tying them for 2nd
place in North Region IX.
