Canadian Sharp-Shooter Frédéric Duré Choses Generals
The 6’5”, 185 pound guard was selected to the Quebec All-Star team after averaging 18.1 points and 3.2 assists while shooting 42% from 3-point range. Coach Smiley had this to say about Fred: "Fred is a great addition to our team for next year as he addresses several needs with his ability to shoot, and with his size and skill level, he can realistically play all three guard and wing positions. Fred is an elite shooter that will be a constant threat for our offense next year. We absolutely love Fred's versatility, length, and his 6'5" frame. He should have a great career for us at Sheridan and also at the NCAA level."

Bradford Signs With Weber State

Sheridan College freshman guard Wayne Bradford has signed a national letter of to play for Weber State University. Bradford averaged 11.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists for the Generals this past season, helping them to a record of 25-7. Bradford led the nation in free throw percentage this past season, shooting an outstanding 90.7% from the charity stripe. A highly efficient shooter, Bradford also shot 48.8% from the field and 41% from beyond the arc.
“I’m excited to have the opportunity to play for Weber State next year and continue my career”, said Bradford. “I'm going to miss everything about the Sheridan College program; Coach Smiley, Coach Magrino, and my teammates all helped me become a better player and person.”
Weber State posed a 25-7 record this past season, losing in the Big Sky Championship game. Bradford will fill the void for the Wildcats left by Damian Lillard, who has declared for the NBA Draft, and is projected to go in the early first-round.
Coach Smiley commented on Wayne’s signing, “We’re really excited about Wayne’s decision to sign with Weber State. Weber has been a program that has been at or near the top of the Big Sky Conference for several years and we really believe he has a chance to make a mark at Weber, being that he has 3 years of eligibility remaining. Wayne has worked extremely hard both on the floor & in the classroom during his freshmen year here at Sheridan and we’re all just really excited to see that his hard work has paid off.”
Weber State is a member of the Big Sky Conference, located in Ogden, Utah. Bradford is the fourth General to sign with a Division I school this year. Khion Sankey with Lipscomb University, Jermaine Lippert with the University of Detroit, and Lamont Prosser with Portland State; who also competes in the Big Sky conference.
